Minutes before entering the court for a defamation-case hearing, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal dared his accuser, Punjab revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia: “Arrest me in six months or I will arrest you after coming to power in Punjab in six months.”

“Bikram Majithia and the Badal family have destroyed Punjab by pushing it into drugs. Every section of society is distressed over the menace,” Kejriwal said, standing atop a truck and addressing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers outside Circuit House. “I dared to say it a few months ago and Majithia filed a case against me. He wants to frighten me but I am not the man to be scared of the Akalis or their tactics.”
He said Majithia and the Badals couldn’t shut the mouths of all those in Punjab who were making the same accusation. They frame whoever dare to raise their voice against them. It’s all false cases,” alleged the AAP national convener, whose party will take on the Akali-BJP combine in the 2017 state elections. “They did not even spare me, chief minister of Delhi, an empowered man. You can imagine the fate of the ordinary man they register false case against.”
“I challenge Majithia to arrest me within six months, remaining tenure of the SAD-BJP government, otherwise I will arrest him after that time,” said the Delhi chief minister. He said the people of Punjab were thirsting to take revenges from the Badal and Majithia families for “the ruling party’s excesses”. Now, their (Badals’ and Majithia’s) days are numbered, and after six months, the AAP will form the new government in Punjab”.
