The local police have booked four residents of Mundiyan Khurd village for allegedly sexually abusing their 19-year-old friend and posting a lewd video of the incident on the internet.
The victim alleged that when he requested the accused to remove the video, they threatened him and passed derogatory remarks against his caste.
The accused have been identified as Savinder Pal Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Manpreet Singh and Sukhdeep Singh.
They have been booked under sections 294 (obscene acts and songs), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), 120-B (punishment of criminal conspiracy) of IPC and 67 (publishing of information which is obscene in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act.
In his complaint, Onkar Singh said he, along with his four friends, had gone to take bath at a tubewell in their village in January. There the accused removed his clothes and sexually abused him, he alleged.
Onkar claimed that the accused filmed the entire incident on their mobile phones, and later posted the video on various websites. He said he came to know of their wrongful deed, when his acquaintances started enquiring about the video.
The complainant told the police as the video was humiliating, he requested the accused to remove it from the internet. However, instead of paying heed to his plea, they started threatening him and passed disparaging comments about his caste.
