After inquiry report of additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP-2) Sandeep Garg in the matter of suicide of shopkeeper Inderpal Singh Ahuja, who had ended his life after being allegedly harassed by the cops at Dugri police station, the police have booked assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Buta Singh and head constable Swarn Singh under graft charges. Ahuja had ended his life by jumping before a running train on April 29 after posting suicide note on his Facebook account.

The police slammed Sections 7 (13) D of Prevention of Corruption Act against the cops following the suicide note of Ahuja, which he had posted on his Facebook account on April 28, a day before he was found dead at railway crossing in Himmat Singh Nagar. The services of the cops were already kept under suspension since the matter had come into light.

However, inspector Davinder Chaudhary, who was also suspended, got clean chit from the ADCP, as the officer did not find his direct involvement in the case.

The investigation report was revealed on Monday evening.
