The Lohian Khas police have booked a youth for kidnapping a minor. Station house officer (SHO) NS Aujla said the accused has been identified as Ajay Kumar of Lohian Khas.

Prem Singh of Jania village lodged a complaint to the police that the accused kidnapped his minor daughter on June 23 on promise of marrying her. A case under sections 363-A (kidnapping or maiming a minor for purpose of begging) and 366 (kidnapping a woman to compel her marriage) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
