No end to rounds for getting death and birth certificates

Notably, the service has been notified under the Act and the time limit of 2-5 days has been fixed to provide the service for both rural and urban area applicants. On the basis of reports received from various districts, the Right to Service Commission also took suo motu notice in groups of cases where service was delayed for long without any solid reason.

It has been learnt that some objections were raised in most of the cases which were delayed and the applicants had to visit the office again and again.

Civil surgeon Rajiv Bhalla said that people are not aware of the process and directly come with their files to his office instead of submitting them at the Suvidha Centre at the Mini Secretariat.
