The interrogation of three pro-Khalistan terrorists arrested on August 4 revealed that their group had received funds from United Kingdom, Malaysia and Spain for completion of their plans to strike Jalandhar and Anandpur Sahib.
Police sources said apart from holding many meetings at various places in Gurdaspur and Jalandhar, the hometown of KLF chief Harminder Singh Mintu, the group had also met many times in Pathankot district which falls near the border of Jammu and Kashmir.
The rural police have also recovered three illegal pistols, allegedly supplied from Pakistan and other countries. Moreover, after getting a tip-off from Jalandhar rural police, Ropar police arrested one associate and are now locating two women who were deputed as sleeper cells in Ropar as the group had also planned to attack Anandpur Sahib.
Further, the rural police have decided to bring Harpreet Singh alias Pintu from Simbal Camp in Jammu on production warrant from Kapurthala jail within two days. Pintu was sent to judicial custody on Sunday. He was produced before the duty magistrate amid heavy security by Bhogpur police and the court sent him to jail till August 30.
A police official said Pintu was hard to interrogate and was still hiding important information which needed to be checked.

{{/usCountry}}The officials of Intelligence Bureau were also been camping in the city on Monday and held a meeting with certain officials of rural police.
The official said Pintu had gone to Pakistan many times and had stayed there for four months continually. Further, Pintu was allegedly running a group connected to two Pakistan-based terrorist outfits-Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) and Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF).
Sources said the group also frequently met a local associate living in a colony on the Jalandhar-Amritsar road. The police have been trying to find the whereabouts of this aide, Gurpreet Singh.
The other two terrorists - Paramjit Singh, alias Pamma, from Basti Gobind Puri in Simbal Camp (Jammu) and Sarwan Singh Shabba from Meera Sahib in Jammu - are already in jail.
A police team led by senior superintendent of police (Jalandhar rural) Narinder Bhargav along with CIA officials had arrested the three accused in Jammu on August 4 after camping there for several days following intelligence about their activities.
