Interacting with media after chairing a function held here to mark the 131st foundation day of the Congress, Yadav also said that he regretted taking his resignation back during the second term of the Hooda government.

He said he did not know that his name was also among the probables for chief ministership and had he known it he would have never recommended Hooda’s name. “I regret having done so,” he said, adding that it was also his mistake to take back his resignation about two years ago. “I put in my papers as there was discrimination in recruitment in government jobs as well as development under the Hooda regime. But it was my mistake to take it back,” he said and added that his taking back his resignation sent a wrong message to the people that it was just a drama.

Reacting to Hooda’s recent statement about changes in the state Congress, Yadav said that Hooda might have been day-dreaming about changes in the party. “Making changes is the prerogative of the high command and not of Hooda,” he said adding he was giving it back to Hooda, who had remarked that he (Capt Yadav) was day-dreaming of being the chief minister.
