A motorcycle-borne man looted `15 lakh from a petrol pump owner at gunpoint near MBD Mall at BMC Chowk in Jalandhar on Friday.

Vishal Bajaj, 26, of GTB Nagar, who owns a fuel station at Chahehru on the Jalandhar-Phagwara highway, had come to deposit money in Indian Overseas Bank branch when the incident took place.

In his complaint to the police, Bajaj said when he alighted from his Toyota Innova, a man with long beard tried to snatch his bag containing cash. When he resisted, the accused pointed a gun at him and fled with the bag on a motorcycle.
