Venu Prasad, principal secretary, power, took over as chairman-cum-managing director (CMD) of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) here on Thursday.
An IAS officer of the 1991 batch, Prasad also holds the charge as CMD of Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited. After taking charge, he met directors of the power corporation and asked the officials to prepare a roadmap to provide round-the-clock electricity to consumers.

Meanwhile, a delegation of PSEB Engineers’ Association called on Prasad. The delegation demanded a transparent posting policy.
