Actor Sonali Kulkarni has a tendency to celebrate festivals in her own way. While she celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in an eco-friendly manner, Diwali is going to be quieter and calmer for her. Sonali has been living out of her suitcase of late, as she was busy shooting for her forthcoming film, and wasn’t able to spend time with her family. So, the Dil Chahta Hai (2001) actor has whisked her family off to Hong Kong to celebrate the festival and take a much-needed break.
Sonali and her husband, Nachiket, have decided to take their daughter Kaveri to Hong Kong Disneyland for an entire week. The actor, who has already left India, says, “It is a family holiday. Nachiket and I had a very busy quarter and so did our daughter Kaveri. All of us have holidays [this week], so we have combined them to spend time with family. None of us are very fond of crackers and we really like a pollution-free Diwali.”
Sonali adds that the trip to Disneyland is also a gift for her daughter. “This is also Kaveri’s birthday gift, as her birthday is also in October. She is very fond of Disney characters and Nachiket thought that it would be really nice to gift her a holiday when she is be ready for it. We are very happy to enjoy all the wonderful rides here, and she can meet all the characters she knows,” she says.
