Actress Shalini Pandey, who made a confident debut with last year’s critically-acclaimed Telugu romantic drama Arjun Reddy, is busy with multiple projects in Tamil. Shalini has now turned singer with an independent single which also features pop rock band Lagori. On Sunday, the teaser of the song Naa Pranamay was released and Shalini sounds very confident and comfortable. The full song will be released on February 14 on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.
On the career front, Shalini is currently busy shooting for Jiiva’s Gorilla, which also stars a real chimpazee in a key role. After wrapping up the first schedule in Pondicherry, the team is planning to head to Thailand for a month-long schedule to shoot predominant portion of the film. Being directed by Don Sandy, the film is said to be a heist comedy where a group uses a chimp to rob a bank.
Shalini also has 100 Percent Kadhal, a Tamil remake of Telugu blockbuster 100% Love, in her kitty. The film also stars GV Prakash Kumar and she’s said to have finished shooting for the project, which is gearing up for release soon. Amidst rumours that Shalini might be cast in Bala’s Varma, the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy, sources from the film’s camp have denied the rumours. The film marks the debut of Dhruv Vikram, son of popular Tamil star Vikram.
