Mohanlal’s Odiyan is unarguably one of the most anticipated releases of 2018, and its makers are getting everything right to keep the hype alive. When the motion poster of the film was released earlier this year, it featured Mohanlal in a totally unrecognizable avatar.
After making headlines with its impressive motion poster, the makers bring another major announcement as it has been confirmed that national award-winning VFX studio NY VFXWAALA, lead by actor Ajay Devgn, has been brought on board to take care of the visual effects in the film.
This company has worked on over 200 Indian films, including widely popular biggies such as Theri, Baahubali 2 and Dangal among others. With such a popular company on board, we can expect some great visuals in the film.
Odiyan, being directed by VA Shrikumar Menon, is already being promoted as the biggest film in Malayalam industry in terms of budget and that has created quite a buzz. In the film, Mohanlal plays Odiyan Manikkan, last surviving member of a long-extinct tribal community in Kerala. According to history, Odiyan is a shape-shifting assassin and Mohanlal is said to be playing one such character in the film.

Prakash Raj is playing a pivotal role in the film, being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. National Award winning scriptwriter Harikrishnan has penned the script for the film and the production design is being done by Sabu Cyril, while Shaji Kumar is handling the cinematography.
