ctor Dhanush is busy completing multiple projects. He was last seen in The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir, directed by Ken Scott, and is now looking forward to the release of Vada Chennai, directed by Vetri Maaran.
Dhansh has also wrapped up shoot for Maari 2 which will bring the audience’s favourite thug back on the silver screen. In between all this, he has also begun work on his second directorial. Tentatively titled DD2 for ‘Dhanush Directorial 2’, the film will star him in the lead role and is bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films.
The official Twitter handle of Sri Thenandal Films shared pictures from the puja ceremony that was held on Thursday. The caption for the pictures read, “Shooting of our next project with the dynamic @dhanushkraja, as director and hero, with a super talented team has begun! Excited and looking forward to this bilingual! #DD2.”
Actor Srikanth will play an important role in the film and was also seen in the picture. He looked ready for the shot in his white veshti and shirt.
Speaking about his directorial, Dhanush said in an earlier interview with Film Companion, “One must spend time and make all decisions during pre-production, which will lead to a smooth execution. This will save money and time. In fact, many were restless and asked me why I was spending so much time on pre-production for my project, and explained that things could be done on the set. I had to tell them that those decisions on the set involve money and put my foot down.”
