Actor-producer Dhanush’s next Tamil film has a name. It is called Kodi and will be a political drama. It was officially launched in Chennai on Friday.

“The film has been titled Kodi. It’s set to go on floors later this month,” said a source from the film’s unit. To be directed by Durai Senthil Kumar, the film also stars Trisha Krishnan and Shamlee in important roles. According to the source, Trisha will be playing a character with negative shades for the first time in her career.

The film will be jointly produced by Dhanush and filmmaker Vetrimaaran.The duo had earlier worked successfully together in Kaaka Muttai.
