The first look poster of Tamil actor Jyotika’s forthcoming women-centric film with the actor riding a Royal Enfield bullet has created huge buzz. Talking about the scene, the film’s director Bramma says “Jyothika plays a brave documentary filmmaker Prabhavathi in the film. Besides bullet, Jyothika will also be seen driving one more vehicle but it’s a suspense for now.”
“The bullet riding scene will also have senior actor Urvashi, who is afraid of bike rides. But after explaining the importance, she gave her nod,” adds Bramma, who is thrilled to have the National Award winning actor on board as she was also a part of Kamal’s production venture Magalir Mattum (1982).
“Knowing the importance of the title Magalir Mattum (Women only), my producer Suriya personally met Kamal sir and procured the rights,” says the director, whose debut film Kuttram Kadithal won National Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.
Bramma also says that his film is loosely based on a real-life incident. The film also has a promising list of actors including Saranya Ponvannan, Nassar and yesteryear actor Bhanu Priya.
After her 2005 Tamil film Maayavi, Jyotika has dubbed her own lines in Magalir Mattum. “Even during the shoot, Jyothika gets the dialogue paper in advance and gets her lines right, she is a thorough professional,” signs off Bramma.
