Awe, the upcoming Telugu film, is a new territory not just for the cast and crew but the audiences as well. The plot, the characters and even the tone of the film is something that hasn’t been attempted in the industry before. The script impressed the actors so much, three of the cast members wanted to back the project. There is a good buzz around this film and here are five reasons why you should check it out for yourself.

Awe is set to be released on February 16 worldwide.

The combination of Nani and Ravi Teja

Natural Star Nani and Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja are coming together for this project, but not on screen. They are part of the film’s voice cast. Nani will do voice-overs for a gold fish while Ravi Teja will be lending his voice to a bonsai tree.

The female lead characters

Not just Nani, Ravi Teja, Murali Sharma and Srinivas Avasaralu, but Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, and Regina Cassandra too play equally important roles in the film. The character introductions by the production house, Wall Poster Cinema, is one of the main reasons behind the good buzz for this film.

Character sketches

Each character in the film is well thought out. A chef, a psychic, a magician, a watch maker – these are all the characters that the lead cast portrays and they look fascinating.

‘To put money where your mouth is’ – this is exactly what actor Nani has done with his film Awe. He decided to bankroll the project and also started his production venture, Wall Poster Cinema. When he announced the project on his social media pages, he said that he was mighty impressed by the script and was tempted to back the project.

Another young debut director

Many recent films from the Telugu film industry that have become successful and talked about are made by debut directors who brought a refreshing change to the filmmaking rule book; recent example being Tholi Prema. Director Prasanth Varma is also debuting with Awe and so the expectation are that it wouldn’t be another run-of-the-mill film.
