PC George, MLA of Poonjar has not only given clean chit to Dileep in the Malayalam actress abduction case, he has also accused the actor’s ex-wife Manju Warrier of designing an elaborate scheme to implicate him. Dileep is currently out on bail after spending almost three months in jail. In an interview with Manorama Online, PC George claimed that Dileep is innocent.
He said, “She is a good actress and I like her acting. But she is hard-hearted. Dileep and Manju had a good life, but now she was not on the right path. Manju didn’t want divorce, but she left him with no other option. And now, Manju is taking revenge.”
When he was asked why he would make such a claim against Manju and what his relationship with Dileep was, he replied, “I am a social worker and I solely work for the welfare of the common people. I feel it’s my responsibility as a leader to stand with the truth. It was sad for me to see how an innocent person like Dileep had to spend 85 days in jail.”
This is not the only time that he has supported Dileep. He had previously also questioned the victim about how she could get back to work the next day of the incident was that serious. The victim had then written a letter the the CM of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, stating that the MLA was trying to defame her.
