Actor Rana Daggubati has done different movies in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema, but now he wants to save more time by doing films that can be dubbed or shot in multiple languages.
The 30-year-old, who made his Bollywood debut with Dum Maaro Dum (2011), went on to do some action-packed movies later on, but due to his commitments with Tamil and Telugu films, he finds it difficult to allocate time to three different film industries.
“I just wish that a day had more number of hours for me. There is a set frame of time that I have, and now, the search will be finding content that can be done in multiple languages, so that I can bridge that gap,” says Rana.
“I believe that content travels. I see Tamil films being made in Telugu or Hindi films being made in some other language. Such projects prove that stories, as well as actors, can travel across languages,” he adds.
Rana will be seen next in filmmaker S S Rajamouli’s directorial project, which is shot in Tamil and Telugu and will be dubbed in Hindi. “No matter how different the method of story making is in different industries, the passion for filmmaking is the same,” he says. “Everyone is creative and everyone has different stories to tell, but with equal enthusiasm,” adds the actor, who was last seen in Bollywood in this year’s Baby.
