Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Geetha Govindam has received great reviews from audience and the critics. The film had an excellent start at the US box office and also managed to collect Rs 16.1 crore on its first day, which, according to reports, is a sensational start for a medium-budgeted film.
According to a report in Andhra box office, Geetha Govindam had a sensational start by earning Rs 8.4 crore in Nizam and Andhra Pradesh region. The film collected Rs 4.2 crore in US and 3.5 crore in the other regions.
The film’s pre-release business, including theatrical rights, was sold at Rs 15 crore and from the looks of it, this would be another Vijay Deverakonda blockbuster.
The film is about a man and a woman who meet and get to know each other, but because of a misunderstanding, the woman begins to hate the man. Geetha tries to do everything possible to torture Govind in the film and to make sure he realises his mistake, but after realising the truth, she falls in love with him. The comedy in this rom-com has scored high points with viewers.
