Vidya Balan plays Geeta Bali in her Marathi debut Ekk Albela.

In a teaser that was launched online on Saturday morning, Vidya Balan and Mangesh Desai are seen in a recreation of the Shola Jo Bhadke that was picturised on Bhagwan Dada and Geeta Bali. Vidya aces the retro look and moves. Marathi actor Mangesh essays the role of Bhagwan Dada in the movie.

In a poster released earlier, the Dirty Picture star, who will be seen portraying the role of yesteryear star Geeta Bali in the film, is seen like a typical Marathi mulgi.

Vidya shared the poster on her Twitter account.

Directed by Shekar Sartendel, the upcoming biopic will unfold the chapters’ of legendary actor Bhagwan Dada’s life.

Vidya had earlier made her film debut with Bengali movie Bhalo Theko and had several Bollywood hits like Kahaani, Parineeta and Ishqiya. The movie is likely to hit the theatres this June.
