Now, you can LIVE stream your Google Meets outside organisation
With this feature, it is easier to live-stream real-time employee and staff training, academic information with students, conference materials that cannot be shared in person etc.
Social media giant Google is set to introduce a new feature in Google Meet for users to live stream their meetings. The in-house and cross domain live streaming will be available with Google Workspace Editions like Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Plus, Enterprise Standard, Teaching and Learning upgrade.

The feature allows only guests in your organisation can watch the live streams. If the admin turns on Cross Domain live streaming feature, then guests in the organisation and trusted workspace domains can watch.
Which browsers support live streamingsThe browsers to be used for viewing live stream meetings are Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Apple Safari.

How to set up a live stream
STEP 1: Open Google Calendar. Click the Plus sign> Create>Event> More options. STEP 2: Now, you need to add the event details like date, time and description.STEP 3: Next, add the guests who can fully participate in the meeting. All these guests added can be seen, heard and can also present their screen.STEP 4: People from other organisations and trusted domains can be added. But only people in your organisation can record and control streaming.STEP 5: To join using Google Meet, click the Down arrow and then add ‘Live stream’. Click ‘Save’ and then send. However, live streaming will not automatically start. During the meeting, at the bottom right corner, click LIVE streaming and then start.
