The video was posted along with a descriptive caption to explain more about this deep sea creature. Furthermore, the organisation also revealed why the teeth of the creature are called “invisible.”

“If you thought invisibility cloaks were the realm of science fiction, say hello to the dragonfish and their invisible teeth. These deep sea predators are proficient hunters with a number of exotic adaptations, translucent teeth amongst them,” they wrote.

⁣”Researchers (Velasco-Hogan et al.) determined that the teeth of Aristostomias scintillans are made from material similar to enamel and dentin in human teeth, but the organisation of those materials is different enough to make them completely transparent when wet and do not scatter light at all. Hence, ‘invisible,” they added.

Take a look at the video:

“What a gorgeous animal! Super cool video,” wrote an Instagram user. “Amazing fish!!! And his little fins!!!” shared another. “Great footage,” commented a third. “So interesting,” expressed a fourth. What are your thoughts on the video?
