Runners up Imam Siddiqui and Sana Khan talk about their Bigg Boss journey
I don’t regret my behaviour: Imam Siddiqui
Famous for his fights in the house, and flouting rules while claiming to ‘play the game’, 47-year-old Imam Siddiqui nevertheless was the entertainer in the house.
Ask the first runner up if it must hurt to have missed the trophy by a whisker and he says, "Not at all. I have a pragmatic sensibility and life aesthetic based on spirituality. Clearly the audiences thought Urvashi deserved it and so do I. I had said to her that playing negative roles on-screen has made her negative. I apologise for that though I don’t regret saying it."
Tell him about his notorious reputation due to his behaviour on the show and he replies, "There’s a saying sabse bada rog, kya kahenge log. In my career, I’ve transgressed from one thing to the other effortlessly. I started as an actor in school, then went on to win a National Award for poetry... I wear different hats."
Imam is happy with his achievements on the show. "I got an award for creative contribution, and Rs 10 lakh in addition to the Rs 5 lakh I got as Mr Manoranjan. The show has been the best platform for me. I’m humbled and honoured," he says.
Rajev and I are just great friends: Sana Khan
Though she was linked with ‘good friend’ Vishal Karnal and then Rajev Paul, her fellow inmates in reality show Bigg Boss 6, Sana Khan, who finished third, says, "Bigg Boss strictly meant work for me and I am planning to focus on work only for some time now."
While the 25-year-old actor-model admits that she "enjoyed healthy flirting" with Vishal, she is clear she doesn’t want a relationship. "Since we knew each other from before, I was comfortable with him. I respect his feelings, but I don’t want a relationship right now."
Fanning speculations of a potential affair with Rajev, she says, "I myself don’t know what kind of friendship I share with him. I don’t want to judge him on his past relationship, as he has been a great friend… and let me clarify, we are just great friends," she adds. Talking about Imam Siddiqui, she says, "I can’t believe he finished second! He is just plain battameez (arrogant). I hate him!"
She is now hopeful of working in Bollywood. "When I went inside the house I had zero following. I hope that has changed. I want to be a Bollywood heroine and am expecting film offers to come my way now."
