Digangana Suryavanshi started out as a child artiste over 13 years ago. She became popular while playing the lead role on the TV serial, Veera. Other than that, she’s played small roles in many other serials like Qubool Hai and Balika Vadhu.

Recently, the 17-year-old was evicted from a reality TV show. She is sad about the development, but is glad that it wasn’t her fans who voted her out. “I am proud of that. I was told that I used to get the highest votes every week, and was loved. This week, the contestants voted me out. But my fans have been so adorable, and have supported me throughout. I am proud of my genuine fan following,” she says.

Bigg Brother Australia’s Priya Malik nominated Digangana Suryavanshi for eviction.

The actor adds that it was difficult for her to be “nasty”. “Perhaps, the contestants realised that I would get nominated every week, but get saved by my fans. So, that might have threatened them, which is why they eliminated me. That is the game,” she says.

One contestant, who, however, managed to annoy Digangana is Rochelle Rao but the Veera star does not blame the model entirely for her recent snappy behaviour. “Rochelle has become annoying of late. She is a very sweet girl otherwise. She offers help, make-up, clothes and talks nicely too but I think since Keith came, she got to know some things which have disturbed her and that frustration is coming out in every conversation of hers with other contestants.”

While on the show, the young actor fell sick as she was diagnosed with typhoid. That’s why it became tough for her to perform the tasks. She says, “It was a challenge. But the show has trained me well. I have become a stronger person. I have learnt a lot about how people can be. I’ve experienced so much, yet I have come out with grace and respect,” she says.
