Actor Ekta Kaul has quit her hit show Mere Angne Mein. The actor confirmed the news, saying she was leaving the show “owing to good personal reasons”.

Ekta played the role of Riya Mathur on the Star Plus show. Reports say that she is now serving her notice period.

“Ekta has already put in her papers and she will wind up her shoot in the last week of February,” Tellychakkar.com reported.

The actor also confirmed the news when the online portal contacted her. “Yes, I am quitting the show owing to good personal reasons,” she said.

Interestingly, Ekta wanted to quit the show in January, but makers extended her tenure. It was even reported that the actor was planning to marry as hinted by one of her Instagram posts. The actor later stated that it was a prank played by her and her onscreen sister-in-law, Charu Asopa.

Going by her latest move of leaving the show for “good personal reasons”, could a wedding really be on the cards?
