Hip Hip Hurray returns after 15 years to TV. See first pics from shoot

There are more than a few things that make the 90’s kids nostalgic about their childhood and one of them is Hip Hip Hurray. The brilliant show, which went on to become a cult classic, aired everyday on Zee TV from 1998 to 2001. Now, the show is making a comeback with a new cast and story.

The show followed the lives of a group of young Class 12 students who faced several challenges but still managed to have a lot of fun. It starred Shweta Salve (Left Right Left), Shabbir Ahluwalia (Kumkum Bhagya), Kishwer Merchant (Bigg Boss), Purab Kohli (Rock On) and Vishal Malhotra (Ishq Vishk).

Remember the theme song?

Well, the kids do look like they are from 2016 rather than 1998 and we expected nothing else but somehow it still feels weird. Their uniforms are different, their bags are cooler and, of course, they take selfies now.

Whether or not it will weave the same magic it did all those years ago, we will have to wait and see.
