Do you expect to be on Comedy Circus?
Not at all.When they called me, I went. I'm not a comedian. Actually whatever funny stuff I did in Chak De! wasn't intentional.

Why did you take it up then?
I come from a hockey background, acting happened by chance. I thought it was better to do a reality show in front of a live audience than to go to an acting institute.

How did you prepare for it?
I didn't. But I thought of it all the time. Now I'm a little more relaxed. Touchwood, everything is fine so far.

What is Rehmaan Khan like?
We look like a hatke pair because of our difference in height.We gel perfectly.

Did you ever want to move back to Uttarkhand?
The day we shot the second episode, I reported to the sets straight from the airport, I'd landed from London. I nearly quit Comedy Circus but everyone coaxed me to stay on.

Who are your favourite comedians?
Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar are superb. So are Vinay Pathak and Rajpal Yadav.

Any other projects?
I have just completed Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion and signed another film.

Have you watched Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?
No, I hardly get time to watch Comedy Circus. But I’d love to watch the show. Shah Rukh Khan is amazing at anything he does.

Do you still play hockey?
After Chak De… I have no time to myself. I’ve had to opt for a correspondence course to finish my mass media degree. I wish I knew where to play hockey in Mumbai.

What about your love life?
( Laughs ) I’m concentrating onmy career right now. But Iwant some one who will stand by me and respect my profession.
