In an unexpected eviction, Kamya Punjabi was ousted from Bigg Boss 7. But she is elated to have accomplished a challenging feat of spending 41 hours in a box during a task.



She says, "The feeling of making a record is unbelievable. In our country, there are many who survive without food or water and so did I, albeit for a day. I prepared myself to prove that women can tough it out. I’m proud of it."



She reveals that her co-contestant, wrestler Sangram Singh’s belittling comment about women’s lack of strength egged her on to prove him wrong. "I wanted to prove that one shouldn’t consider women as soft targets."

Before she entered the show, there were reports about her impending divorce with husband Bunty Negi. Yet, it was a surprise when she openly spoke about her divorce on the show.



In retrospect, Kamya feels that it was her weak moment. "I was worried and scared about my daughter. She might be scarred that her dad and mom weren’t with her. I didn’t want to talk on national TV about my divorce. I am not an abla naari. I was only thinking about my child."



But Kamya admits she misses her ex-husband. "I will meet him soon. He had assured me that he will look after our child. Today, I think our relationship is better than what we had when we were married," she says. However, the actor doesn’t think she would get back with him. "We’ve been together for 13 years and we respect each other, but there are some things that are beyond repair. So it’s better to stay friends," she adds.
