The Kapil Sharma Show may be India’s funniest TV show on air currently, but the makers may not just be laughing their hearts out behind the cameras. As if the dip in show’s viewership was not a cause for concern, here’s some shocking news: Reports suggest that Chandan Prabhakar, who plays Chandu, may soon be quitting.

Prabhakar, who was also a part of Sharma’s previous show Comedy Nights With Kapil, has reportedly switched boats and signed a new show called The Indian Mazak League.
However, when asked to confirm this, Prabhakar told Times of India, “As of now, I am not quitting ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and Kapil has no issues with me doing ‘Indian Mazak League’. There would have been a problem only if the two shows were airing at the same time. Kapil’s show is very dear to me and there is no way I will quit it.”
