Come December 12, it will be curtains for Perfect Bride that started nearly three months ago. The show aimed to become a ‘live’ marriage bureau of sorts for 10 girls and five boys, who participated in the show with their mothers. Couples met, fought and some even showed hopes of being married to each other.
Artistes like Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arbaaz Khan and even Romit Raj, who had recently broken off with his girlfriend, came on the show to share tips and advise the youngsters about dealing with relationships. Now, for the finale, buzz is that Rakhi Sawant will be sharing marriage tips with the contestants.
The dancer-actress’ role hasn’t been finalised yet but sources indicate that she, unlike her usual ‘latka jhatka’ appearances on finales, will be extremely sober. “There’s no talk about her dancing on the finale. But she will be seen advising couples to spend quality time together before getting into wedlock. We’re expecting her to share experiences of her own relationships and what she has learnt from each of them,” says the source.
When contacted, Vasudha Jha of Star Plus, didn’t confirm or deny the news. She says, “Yes, we have approached Rakhi Sawant for the Perfect Bride finale. Her role is yet to be decided but it will be a crucial one for sure.” Given her current relationship status with Elesh Parujanwala, whom she garlanded as her prospective groom on Rakhi Ka Swayamvar earlier this year, one wonders what would this dancer-actress advice.

When asked whether she would extend relationship advice, he says, “I don’t know about that. So far, we’ve only decided that she will be performing for the finale. Whether she will advice the couples or not hasn’t been decided yet.”
