Actor Pooja Banerjee, who tied the knot with Asian Games gold medallist swimmer, Sandeep Sejwal, in March this year, is back to work now. The 25-year-old, who is shooting for her show Chandra Nandini, says that not much has changed after marriage. “Sandeep is very supportive of my profession and understands when I have long shooting schedules. He is happy that I am following my passion and loves watching me on screen,” says Pooja.
The actor, who went to Switzerland for her honeymoon, had a marvellous time there. “I’ve wanted to see snow for a long time. So this was the first time I encountered snow, and that too with my life partner. I couldn’t have been more excited,” says Pooja.
As talks veer to her professional life, Pooja says she’s confident about the roles she takes up. While many television actors feel uncomfortable wearing a swimsuit on screen, Pooja, who sported a swimming costume in her show Swim Team, says she has always been very comfortable with her body on-screen. “I have always been very happy with the way I look, even on days when I don’t work out. I have been extremely comfortable while wearing swimsuits [for my show Swim Team] and I’m also comfortable wearing heavy costumes for my current show. I have also grown up as an actor, so such scenes are no different than others and all you need is confidence in your script and yourself,” says Pooja, who has been seen in shows such as The Adventures of Hatim and Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum.
