Today, Raveena Tandon will finish shooting for her forthcoming film, Gin Liya Aasman, where she plays a simple Marathi housewife. But the actor is most excited about her upcoming talk show for NDTV’s Hindi and English news channels.

She says, “The show goes on the floors from January 11.” Ask her about the possible celebrity list she aims to bring on the show, and she is tight-lipped. “I would love to have Karan Johar and Simi Garewal and do what they did to me on their shows.”
No co-actors? She says, “Salman Khan is my top priority. He holds a special place in my heart, as he was my first co-star (Patthar Ke Phool, 1991)” She adds, “He helped me when I needed him the most. When I was making Stumped (2003), he did an item song for free when everyone had said no. He has a heart of gold.”
With this show, Raveena is set to join an already huge list of actors-turned-chat show hosts like Preity Zinta, Koel Purie and Aamir Khan. She, however, feels her show is different because it is in biographical format on a news channel.

“This show is a tribute to the individual behind the celebrity. I aim to explore their life beyond films, bring their families on the show and get them to reveal what makes them the person they are. I will also try to reunite them with their school and college friends.”
