Saumya Tandon: I will never participate in Bigg Boss as I am a very private person
Actor Saumya Tandon is exhausted and at her wits’ end these days. Her show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai, which revolves around two men who have an eye for each others’ wives, keeps her busy all the time, so much so that she doesn’t get time for anything else.
“My show takes up all my time, and I have little time for anything else,” says the 32-year old, who shot to fame by hosting reality shows such as Dance India Dance and Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout. But we haven’t seen her hosting any show in a long time. Has that been a conscious decision? “I miss hosting shows”, says Saumya, “But I keep doing many events, because I love talking and always have the desire to be there, up on the stage with a mic, with a crazy number of people packed for the show. But I don’t know if any show is there around today which is exciting enough. Nothing good has really come my way. If it does, I will definitely do it.”
Season 11 of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss is making a lot of noise, primarily due to the fact that her former co-star in her show, Shilpa Shinde, and Vikas Gupta who used to head the channel that aired the show, are there in the house together. The two had a public fallout with Shilpa accusing Vikas of ‘throwing’ her out of the show. Asked if she would be game to enter the show, Saumya refuses. “No, I won’t do the show. I am a private person. Also, since I am very boring and extremely straightforward, I won’t be able to give any TRPs to the channel. I am thus not the right candidate for the show!’, she laughs.
