The spin-off will focus on a new 20-something male terrorist hunter, reported Aceshowbiz.

The plan is to pair the hunter with "an older, more seasoned female agent," Gordon said.

The project is currently envisioned as a limited series, but may get more seasons in the future.

The said female agent is not actor Yvonne Strahovski's Kate Morgan, although there is a chance she appears on the spin-off. Actor Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Bauer may also appear as a guest star throughout the run of the spin-off.

Manny Coto and Evan Katz, who worked on the limited-run event series of 24, titled 24: Live Another Day, will serve as writers and executive producers on the spin-off alongside Gordon.
