and a vibrant Kaalbeliya dancer, TV actor Suhasi Dhami will now be soon in a new avatar as the protagonist of Zee TV’s Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. Her new sartorial style is inspired by Aishwarya Rai’s look from Devdas (2002). She will now be seen wearing ornate jewellery and glitzy saris since in the serial, she becomes the wife of a Bengali, Dr Viren Roy, played by Iqbal Khan.

“I am glad to be part of a show which gives me a chance to sport so many diverse looks and characters, as a result, the job is not boringly mundane,” says Suhasi, who plays Abha in the show which has been running successfully for two-and-half years.

Ask her if it was a conscious effort to emulate the ‘Paro’ look and Suhasi replies, “I wouldn’t say it is the Paro look but it’s definitely very Bengali. Since Aishwarya’s look became really famous, it is etched in everyone’s memory and has become a yardstick,” she says.

Excited about the makeover, Suhasi doesn’t mind the fact that now her styling and make-up will take longer than before. “Any chance from the normal routine is welcomed with open arms,” she says.
