TV star Rajat Tokas aka Akbar ties the knot

TV actor Rajat Tokas, who plays the role of the Mughal Emperor Akbar in a TV show, got married to his girlfriend of over a year on January 30. The actor and his fiancée, Srishti Nayyar, tied the knot at a grand ceremony in Jag Mandir in Udaipur.

TV actor Rajat Tokas, who plays the role of the Mughal Emperor Akbar in a TV show, got married to his girlfriend of over a year on January 30. The actor and his fiancée, Srishti Nayyar, tied the knot at a grand ceremony in Jag Mandir in Udaipur. For the destination wedding, Rajat apparently had booked the entire Udaipur palace for four days, during which the couple's families came together for the mehendi, haldi and sangeet ceremonies. The celebrations culminated with the wedding. They plan to have a reception later in Delhi.



TV actor Chetan Hansraj, who has worked with Rajat and is also his close friend, attended the wedding, but missed the other functions. He says, "The wedding was at a palace and the décor, view and setting was stunning. Rajat made a grand entrance on an elephant. The ambience was opulent and royal."

Very few celebrities attended the do, as Rajat wanted to keep the ceremony low-key. Rajat remained unavailable for a comment.
