The USS Abraham Lincoln is returning to the United States after more than 300 days away from home, following an extended deployment supporting U.S. military operations against Iran. The aircraft carrier, carrying about 7,500 personnel, is scheduled to reach its homeport in San Diego on October 8. The deployment included 265 consecutive days at sea without a regular port call. Reports also highlighted serious pressures faced by personnel, including eight confirmed suicide attempts across the carrier strike group. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claimed the carrier suffered damage during the conflict, but the U.S. military denied the claims. The Pentagon praised the crew after their demanding deployment.
