- A minister in Ashok Gehlot's cabinet in Rajasthan has sparked off a major controversy over Modi government's new defence recruitment scheme 'Agnipath'. Rajasthan Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat said that the Agnipath scheme would expose the country to trained terrorists as young people without pension and job security are prone to go astray. Speaking to reporters, Jat said when pension is given to MLAs and MPs even for serving a year, then why not to Agniveers? "You are giving a job for five years, four years, three years to young people. At least give them pension. You are pushing the country towards trained terrorists," he added.
