Air India handover: PM meets Tata Sons Chair; Scindia says ‘airline will bloom’

69 years after it was nationalised, 'The Maharaja' has finally returned to the Tata Group. The flagship nat'l carrier officially handed over to India's largest conglomerate - the Tata Group. The move marks a major homecoming for the debt-laden airline, the divestment is a big win for Modi govt. Rs. 15,300CR debt taken over by Tatas; Union Govt gets Rs. 2,700cr cash from Air India sale.
