- Bihar is burning for 2 days now over the centre's recently announced 'Agnipath' scheme. Army aspirants are protesting across the state against the new defence forces recruitment policy and are demanding that the centre rollback the policy. Protests against the Agnipath scheme have been reported from at least eight districts in Bihar — Jahanabad, Buxar, Muzaffarabad, Bhojpur, Saran, Munger, Nawada, and Kaimur. Armed forces aspirants block railway tracks, roads, vandalised buses & set trains ablaze in protest. Police had to resort to firing tear gas shells and lathi charge to disperse the crowd.
