China builds bigger 2nd bridge near Pangong Tso on land claimed by India

- New satellite images suggest that China started constructing a second bridge across the Pangong Lake. The images reveal that the bridge is bigger and braoder and will be capable of accommodating heavy armoured vehicles. The images were tweeted by Damien Symon, an analyst with The Intel Lab who tweets as @detresfa_. The new images have surfaced after China completed a narrower bridge in the same region that is claimed by India in April 2022. Measurements indicate the second bridge will finally have a width of 10 metres and a length of 450 metres. "The second bridge is in an advanced stage, and shallow foundations and columns to support each of the spill-out abutments are visible alongside the first bridge," Symon said.
