Chip-enabled Passports for India Soon? S Jaishankar's Big Announcement Explained

The second phase of India's Passport Seva Programme (PSP-Version 2.0), which will include new and improved e-passports, will be launched soon, External Affairs minister Dr S Jaishankar announced. In January 2022, MEA signed a deal with Tata Consultancy Services for the 2nd phase of passport seva.
