Bill Gates, WHO praise India for 1 crore vaccinations in a day | Covid

India recorded both good and grim news on August 28 regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. The country received praise from international quarters after administering over 1 crore vaccine doses in a day (August 27). Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates said that India had crossed a 'tremendous milestone', while World Health Organisation chief scientist Soumya Swaminathan congratulated the thousands of healthcare professionals involved in the massive exercise. Meanwhile, the country also recorded its highest number of daily infections in around 2 months. The numbers were mainly driven by a surge in Kerala. Watch the full video for more.
