Covaxin effectively neutralises Delta Plus variant of Covid-19: New ICMR Study

- Covaxin is found to have neutralized the Delta Plus variant of Covid-19, a new study conducted by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) revealed. The ICMR study revealed that Covaxin is effective against Delta, Delta AY.1 and B.1.617.3 variants of Covid-19. The anti-coronavirus vaccine is produced by Bharat Biotech and ICMR in India. Earlier, Bharat Biotech revealed that Covaxin has efficacy of nearly 77% against symptomatic cases. The indigenous vaccine was also among the two vaccines approved for use in India.
