Covid-19: Watch how the bustling world came to an eerie halt

The Coronavirus pandemic has brought many cities around the world to a grinding halt. Rome remained silent as lockdown continued amid Covid-19 outbreak. Streets were deserted in Coronavirus-hit Italy's capital city. Italy is one of the worst hit countries in Europe. The Greek city of Athens also appeared near-empty on 21 March 2020. Spain's Madrid also remained silent taking heed of social distancing directives. Residents of Turkey's Istanbul also stayed away from the streets. A crossing at US-Mexico border was spotted virtually empty. The border was closed to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
