Covid update: Delhi new year’s eve curbs; more UK virus strain cases in India

From more cases of new Covid strain in India to New Year restrictions in Delhi, here are the top updates on the pandemic. In India, 14 more cases of the new Covid-19 strain were found. The new cases were found in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, restrictions in place in Delhi ahead of the new year. Delhi restaurants and bars host not more than 50 percent of their capacity for the New Year. No breath analyzer test this time out of precaution against Covid-19. Meanwhile, the UK on Wednesday approved Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine for human use. Researchers found the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine “very effective” against the virus.
