Watch: Covid patient’s dead body thrown in river in U.P.; two arrested

• Shocking visuals of a Covid patient’s dead body being thrown dumped in a river emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Balrampur. One of the persons in the video can be seen in a PEE kit. A probe was initiated after the video of the incident went viral following which two people were arrested. The Chief Medical Officer of Balrampur said that the body has been identified as Prem Nath Mishra, who was admitted to a hospital on May 25. He had been shifted to another ward on 26 May, 2021and passed away on the 28th of May. His body had reportedly been handed over to his family members as per Covid protocol.
