BCCI gets record high bid, latest bid is ₹54.49 crore/match

BCCI is ready to become richer by the end of April 5th. The Indian cricket team till now has got a bid of ₹54.49 crore per match for the Indian home series. This is the first time that BCCI is conducting an e-auction to garner bids for the Indian cricket cycle of April 15, 2018 to March 31, 2023. Sony Pictures, Star India and Reliance Infocomm are seen as one of the favourites to win the bids. Star India won the last bid for showcasing Indian cricket for 96 matches from 2012 to 2018. They paid ₹3,851 crore which is equivalent to ₹43 crore per match. Very recently in September 2017, BCCI sold the IPL digital broadcasting rights for a total of ₹16,347 crore.
