- Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee over violence in Cooch Behar. PM Modi, during a public rally in Siliguri, expressed grief over the incident and loss of lives. PM Modi offered condolences to families of those who died. PM Modi said Mamata Banerjee and TMC goons are getting furious over BJP’s popularity in West Bengal. Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee accused CRPF of firing over voters in Cooch Behar.
