‘You spread Covid here & ran away’: Mamata Banerjee’s dig at BJP

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the BJP of spreading Covid in the state by bringing in outsiders in the name of election campaigning. ‘Where were you all this while? You have brought Covid and run away. We had cured everything. If they had given the vaccination to all the people in time, then there would be no new cases of Covid,’ Mamata said during a rally in Jalpaiguri. The Bengal Chief Minister further said that none of the BJP leaders came here during the first wave of the Covid pandemic since there was no election in the state then.
